How much does locu.nz cost for businesses? +
locu.nz charges a single, fixed platform fee on each filled shift. The exact figure is shown to you during business signup, so you know what to expect upfront: no hidden costs, no surprises. There is no monthly subscription and no charge for unfilled shifts. You only pay when a shift is successfully filled.
What if a locum cancels at short notice? +
Locums who cancel within 24 hours of a shift receive a formal warning on their record. Repeat cancellations result in suspension. You can re-post the shift immediately and it will be prioritised in our matching system.
How does invoicing work? +
When a shift ends, the locum’s invoice is raised automatically from the hours their PIN codes record, and emailed to you with their bank details and a due date. You pay the locum straight from your bank, one at a time or several together in a pay run, and tell us it’s paid. locu.nz never holds wages; our platform fee is billed separately on one weekly invoice.
Can we set our own credential requirements? +
Yes. When posting a shift you can specify additional requirements, such as IV certification, EMR experience, or specific specialty knowledge. Only locums who match will be able to apply.
